# 18 Hotel Doralba

When finally we got to Merida, the first thing to do was find our hotel.  We stayed at Hotel Doralba in the Centro or center of the city.  The hotel is very nice with a gorgeous lobby filled with Frida Kahlo artwork and beautiful furniture.  A lovely pool and garden area too.  The hotel was very clean and well maintained.  Our room was older, had windows that overlooked the pool and the dining area (but we could not close the windows) and it did get noisy sometimes!!  The beds were a bit hard too, but it was budget-priced and we could have the pets, so that was good enough for us!!

We lived in the hotel for about 9 days before we found our rental home and really enjoyed our time there.
